Built on Local Roots

Five years ago, we started Heartwood Furnished Homes because we believed Columbia and Lake Murray deserved short-term rentals that felt like real homes, not generic hotel rooms. We've spent that time learning neighborhoods, building relationships with guests, and proving that thoughtful management and genuine care make all the difference. Today, our founders and team are still obsessed with getting every detail right.

The People Behind It

How We Got Here

Dave and Wendy started Heartwood because they live here. They know Lake Murray in the summer, the Fort Jackson neighborhoods, and the downtown Columbia blocks guests keep coming back to. Today we manage over 190 properties across Columbia, Lake Murray, Lexington, Irmo, and Blythewood, listed on Airbnb, VRBO, HomeAway, and Booking.com.
